Day of Celebration
Day of Celebration
Today is a very special day for tens of millions of Americans, and various levels of celebration will take place in one form or another all across the nation. People at all levels will be swept up in this celebratory process, from corporate executives to the newest person to be hired, and it’s no doubt the most celebrated day of the entire year. Now that I’ve got your attention over the fact that you don’t see any significance regarding May 17, and you’re wondering what it is you’re missing out on, this marks the day that people always have, are today, and will forever continue to celebrate being ‘set free’; and, it has nothing to do with May 17 at all.
What is significant about this day is that it’s – Friday! Surely you’ve heard people express the rallying cry with which most are familiar – TGIF!
Thank goodness it’s Friday doesn’t have to be explained – it speaks for itself; when the ‘whistle blows’ at five o’clock, that marks the hour in which people won’t have to think about going to work for two whole days – which is not exactly true; they’ll be free from the burden of going to a place they don’t want to go to, but the celebratory spirit generally only lasts through Friday evening and for all of Saturday. On Sunday morning, most people are already beginning to resent having to go back to work the next day – at least that’s the way I felt when I had a regular job.
And by Sunday evening, my mood would fall to a near-depression level, because when I would wake up it was going to be Monday – the first of five long days of going to a place where you’re told what time you must arrive, what time you may leave, what salary you’re worth, what you must do while you’re there, who you must take orders from (whether you like that person or not) when you’re ‘authorized’ to get hungry and eat lunch, when (and if) you can take a break, and when you can take a vacation. For those of you who have made it a self-imposed discipline to read these message each day, you may recall my definition of a ‘job’ – it’s where the boss pays you just enough to keep you from quitting, and where you work just hard enough to keep from getting fired.
I’m very familiar with having a job; like most people, I grew up to assume that it was standard protocol after graduation for everyone to ‘get yourself a job.’ That’s how you showed that you were a responsible person; then, you fell in love, got married, got a home for your family, arranged to have two cars, and – if you’re an ‘average’ person – you manage to complete your ‘average American status’ by having about eight credit cards – enough to get you about everything you want or will want, in exchange for everything you have or will have. In other words, by roughly the age of thirty, you are ‘owned’ and because you are, you have no other choice but to jump in your expensive car, leave your expensive , home, and drive to a place you don’t want to go. I think there are better options, don’t you? Or, you can just stay where you are and keep doing what you’ve always done. Or, is it possible for you to plan your escape toward a better place in life?

Helping Someone Take Charge of Their Life
In this video blog, Andy answers a reader question:
“What’s the best way to influence people to take charge of their life?”
Mobile MOJO!
Mobile MOJO!
For those who want to win both now and in the future, this is for you…
Constant Contact just sent out a stat:
nearly 50% of emails are read from a mobile device…
The “You’ve Got Mail” days of Meg Ryan sitting at home reading her emails are ending…
A couple weeks ago I made an AdvoCare order from my phone…
Did you catch that? FROM my iPhone…
I’m not really a “tech guy”… I’m typically a little late to the gadget party… but I understand the importance to staying tech relevant (enough)…
Teammate Michelle Davis just earned the #1 Rookie Bonus in the country (over 47K over volume last PP)… she’s 21 years old… many of the orders were placed via cell phone… (exactly how? I don’t know – the takeaway is that there is power in staying technologically relevant)…
We now send out our team call via recorded audio file… I could listen to it just fine on my iPhone 5… yet from some folks I heard “couldn’t open it” or “wouldn’t play”… is the issue with the call format or their device?
You decide…
Here’s the deal: I bought an iPhone 5 in October. I wasn’t due for an upgrade for another year. I chewed on it. I determined that the upgrade date didn’t matter, what mattered more was being technologically relevant,
so I paid the $700…
Some of you will think,
“well he’s a Platinum, easy for him to just fork it over”…
The reality is that we are where we are because we’ve been willing to take calculated risks and invest in ourselves and in our business (even when “broke”), which has led to success…
I would’ve made the same move at the Silver level…
Don’t let your upgrade date dictate your power and influence…
Your cellphone isn’t a cellphone anymore: it’s your phone, camera, music, calendar, internet, text communication, facebook thought sharer, and money maker…
Your mobile device is more important than what you
drive or your home office…
ALLOW ME TO CLARIFY ONE THING: THE POWER OF LIVE INTERACTION, WHETHER IT’S A 1-ON-1, MIXER, OR SUCCESS SCHOOL, WILL ALWAYS BE PARAMOUNT IN THIS BUSINESS. YET IT’S TECHNOLOGY THAT WILL ALLOW THOSE FUNDAMENTALS TO HAPPEN WITH MORE EASE AND FREQUENCY WHEN TECH IS PROPERLY USED…
Here’s some exciting news…
Most of your prospects can now watch www.LifeStyleMovie.com from their phones…
Many can go to www.buildthechampion.com and watch lifestyle movie and www.AdvisorMovie.com … from their phones…
You can impact your prospects and teams no matter where you or they are sitting, assuming you’re willing to utilize and promote the power in your hands…
Why? We want our team to be current, agile, and powerful…
We’re ready to ‘standardize explosion’…
Are you?
